Colombo, Feb. 3 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) issued a statement this evening (03) in connection with the summoning of former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa to the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).
Shiranthi Rajapaksa, the wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, was summoned to the FCID to provide a statement over alleged financial irregularities linked to the Siriliya Saviya Foundation.
She reportedly left the FCID after recording a statement for more than four hours.
According to the SLPP statement, all accounting records, books and related documents of the Siriliya Saviya Foundation had been taken into FCID custody at the time investigations were initiated in 2015.
