SLPP issues statement on Shiranthi Rajapaksa’s FCID summons

Colombo, Feb. 3 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) issued a statement this evening (03) in connection with the summoning of former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa to the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).

Shiranthi Rajapaksa, the wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, was summoned to the FCID to provide a statement over alleged financial irregularities linked to the Siriliya Saviya Foundation.

She reportedly left the FCID after recording a statement for more than four hours.

According to the SLPP statement, all accounting records, books and related documents of the Siriliya Saviya Foundation had been taken into FCID custody at the time investigations were initiated in 2015.

I quote, "According to the SLPP statement, all accounting records, books and related documents of the Siriliya Saviya Foundation had been taken into FCID custody at the time investigations were initiated in 2015." unquote I am sure if documents were taken to FCID custody they may have gone missing now. If they have not been taken to FCID custody, she is lying to avoid giving them to her. I wonder what happened to her classic ID card issue?
