Former Deputy Minister and one time SLFP Youth Wing Leader Erick Weerawardane joined the JVP-led Jathika Jana Balawegaya (JJB) in Kandy over the weekend.

Mr. Weerawardane joined JJB at meeting in Kandy chaired by JVP MP Harini Amarasuriya.

"Only alternative left for people today is JJB," Mr. Weerawardane said.

"More than 75% of the MPs are unaware of their duties as members of Parliament today," he lamented. (Yohan Perera)

SLPP, UNP, SLFP are all looking like clowns. Some just far more corrupt than others. The Wadudeva N, Wimal W, and Gammanpila camp are looking like fringe lunatics and against freedom of expression and protests. SJB is not seeming to go to UN again and again about the Aragalaya and so seems settled into getting Harasha into a committee as Chairman and hopeful of minister posts in all party government look hopeless. Who'd want to vote for the failed SLPP faction with Dullas and big-mouth Peris. JJB/JVP seems only honest and constantly upfront group. There getting much greater votes next election seems a forgone conclusion.

SLFPers join "Ju Ju Bi"ers (JJB), good move to lose the seat the way DEAD-UNP lost in the last election, without even having a single member.

A wise choice indeed! A string of opinion polls conducted over 4 weeks ago has the NPP in front with over 42%, with all three income groups in favour. Whether that was just a flash in the pan, remains to be revealed.

We won't be surprised if all the Pohottuwa Parliamentarians , in due course, join the JJB to save their lives before the next Aragalaya.
