SJB to hold two May Day rallies

Colombo, April 29 (Daily Mirror)- The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is to hold two May Day rallies this year, with one rally to be held in Colombo and the other in Nuwara Eliya.

SJB National Organizer Tissa Attanayake said the main rally will be held at Chatham’s Street Colombo and the other in Nuwara Eliya.

“The rally in Nuwara Eliya is to be organized by the Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) but the SJB leader will participate in both rallies,” Attanayake said.

He said the SJB May Day procession is to begin from Gunasinhapura by 1 pm.

Do it on a small scale and use the excess funds to improve healthcare facilities and provide food packages for the needed. This will certain gain mileage for your party who at the moment seems to be unpopular with the voters.

@Man - good for SJB if they are. However, looks like you are the one commenting from Stockholm. Haven’t you notice or seen so many needy people on the streets and the hospital facilities in terrible condition? SJB contributions might be small and limited. Definitely SJB with a wealth leader and most members having prosperous businesses can do a better. Be humble and downsize these kinds of rallies and have your leaders to cut down on their lavish lifestyle.

@Man - encouraging your party to increase their contributions to help the needy will do some good and uplift the party. Seems currently there isn’t much support for SJB due to the infighting and enrolling old candidates from other parties which the public despises. Hopefully it’s done soonest so SJB might collect some more votes. Good luck!

@Man Sjaith is the one who always reminds us about his Piyano - not us. If that is not relevant he shouldn't keep talking about his dad. The fact that he keeps talking about it is good since people remember what sort of a president he was. I remember how relieved we felt even as small children in 1993.
