SJB pays tribute to MR, SF for war victory

Colombo, May 19 (Daily Mirror) - The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MPs in Parliament today paid tribute to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and former Sri Lanka Army Commander Sarath Fonseka for the war victory gained 17 years ago. 

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said it was former President Rajapaksa and former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka who saved the nation from the clutches of terrorism.

"We also pay tribute to all security forces," he said.  

MP Sujeewa Senasinghe said his party would not hesitate to give the credit to both former President Rajapaksa and former Army Commander Fonseka though they don't agree with their political ideologies.
