Reviewing budget proposals to begin from Aug 28: Siyambalapitiya
The review of the budget proposals will start from August 28, Finance State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said.
The proposals received for the 2024 budget proposal were reviewed till August 22, said the State Minister while addressing an event at Yatiyantota yesterday.
In view of the current situation, a challenging budget will have to be presented next year as well, he said.
However, it is expected to present a budget that will provide the necessary facilities to move the country's economy from bankruptcy to a positive economy, the minister further said. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
