Update - Restaurant owner dies following Bellanwila shooting

Colombo, July 25 (Daily Mirror) - A local restaurant owner (55) who was critically injured in a shooting incident in the Bellanwila area earlier today has succumbed to his injuries, Police said.

According to Police, the victim was rushed to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital after sustaining critical injuries in the attack. However, despite receiving medical treatment, he later died in hospital.

Police said that the deceased was a restaurant owner from the Bellanwila area and was the target of the shooting.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
