Protesting Uni. students tear-gassed

Police fired tear gas and used water cannons to disperse protesting students outside the University Grants Commission (UGC) a short while ago, police said.

Heavy traffic was reported in and around Town Hall as a result of the protest carried out by a group of science faculty students of the Colombo University.
