Colombo , Feb 20 (Daily Mirror) -Properties worth more than Rs. 1 billion belonging to underworld figures have been confiscated by the government, Minister of Public Security Ananda Wijepala told Parliament today.

This, he said, includes two lands belonging to Kehelbaddara Padme worth more than Rs. 50 million and properties worth Rs. 250 million belonging to Thel Bala.
