President prorogues parliament until Aug 3
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has prorogued parliament till August 3, 2022, a gazette notice stated.
Parliament had been prorogued from midnight today (28), until 10.30 am on August 3, the notice said.
The prorogation automatically dissolves parliamentary committees including the Committee on Public Enterprises.
