Parliament approves motion to extend emergency

Colombo, Feb. 6 (Daily Mirror) - The motion to extend the state of emergency by another month was approved by Parliament by a majority of 104 votes, with 106 MPs voting in favour and two against.

A total of 116 MPs were absent at the time of voting.
