Katunayaka, May 20 (Daily Mirror) - A Pakistani woman who arrived from Abu Dhabi this morning was arrested by the Customs Narcotic Control Unit at the Katunayake International Airport (BIA) while attempting to smuggle into the country a stock of 02.450 kilograms of heroin.
The 57-year-old woman had arrived in the country under the pretext of a tourist.
Investigations revealed that the market value of the stock of heroin is estimated to be more than Rs. 73.5 million.
A spokesman for the Customs said that the stock of heroin had been hidden in a false bottom of the woman’s bag.
She was handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau officials in the airport for further action.

True 100%, not only drugs, gold smuggling, arms smuggling, iphone smuggling are done by one particular group of people (everyone knows that group), they may be indians, pakistani, bengali and even sri lankans. Extra search should be done for that particular group like in USA there is special counter for these particular group in every airport
