PNB seizes 5kg of heroin, nabs two suspects

Colombo, February 01 (Daily Mirror) - Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) officers arrested two suspects and seized over five kilograms of heroin during a raid carried out in the Bentota area early this morning.

The operation was conducted following a tip-off received by the PNB. During the raid, officers recovered 5 kilograms and 105 grams of heroin within the Bentota Police Division.

The arrested suspects, aged 40 and 45, are residents of Bentota.

Investigations are currently underway to trace the source of the narcotics and to identify those involved in its distribution network, police said.
