Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will be sworn in as the new Finance Minister today morning, sources said.

Wickremesinghe will take oaths in front of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at 10.30 a.m.

Please groom two or three young competent and capable deputies to lead the short medium and long term plans. Also establish a permanent Policy implementation body where national policies don't get changed when govts change. We as a nation should be ashamed to appoint a 73 year old lawyer to handle Finance in addition to his PM role. Shows a total national failure on succession and capacity planning.
