PM leaves for Doha to attend Qatar Emir’s funeral

Katunayaka, July 15 (Daily Mirror) - Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya left Sri Lanka for Doha, Qatar, last night (July 14) to attend the funeral of the Emir of Qatar.

An airport official confirmed that the Prime Minister departed from the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, on SriLankan Airlines flight UL-217 at 6.50 p.m.

She was accompanied by one other member of her delegation during the visit.

A group of opposition Members of Parliament also travelled on the same flight to Doha to attend the funeral ceremony.
