PHIs to raid shops selling food unfit for human consumption

Raids will be carried out till April 25 to identify shops selling food unfit for human consumption during the festive season, the Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors' Association said.

PHI's Union President Upul Rohana said that about 3,200 public health inspectors have been deployed for this purpose. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)

What were they doing soo long. Allowing shops to sell food not suitable for human consumption. This should be strictly carried out daily and not just for a couple of weeks.
