The ship was berthed in the port for a day, until the tourists returned after visiting Yala, Udawalawa, Kataragama, and Hambantota Botanical Gardens.
Mayor of Hambantota D.A.Gamini said the Ruhunu Tourist Bureau and the Municipal Council had taken steps to provide transport facilities through the private sector to the group of tourists.
The vehicle park was fashioned specially for the convenience of the tourists by the Municipal Council, and the officials of the Tourist Bureau helped the tourists into the vehicles.
