Colombo, Feb. 5 (Daily Mirror) - Health Minister Nalinda Jayatissa revealed today that 4,771 HIV AIDS patients are receiving treatment from 41 clinics conducted under the Sri Lanka National STD/AIDS Control Programme.
He told Parliament that 1,469 Syphilis patients, 1,035 Gonorrhea patients and 2,891 Herpes patients are receiving clinical treatment.
Responding to a question raised by SJB MP S.M. Marikkar, the Minister said there is no shortage of medicines used for AIDS patients.
