Online pension awareness sessions for retiring officers

Colombo, July 8 (Daily Mirror) - The Pensions Department will launch a special online awareness session series from tomorrow (09) aimed at reducing delays in granting pensions to retiring public officers.

The programme will provide guidance to officers scheduled to retire within the next six months, helping them complete the necessary procedures and ensure timely receipt of their pension benefits.

The Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government Ministry said receiving pensions without delays is a right of every public officer, and the initiative is designed to support retirees in beginning their post-service life smoothly.
