No train fare revision to take effect from tomorrow

The revised train fares will not come to effect from tomorrow (12) morning as was said previously, the Railway Department said.

Though, the fare revision was published/announced on the media, based on its legal issues, it has been decided to postpone it further.

It was proposed that the train fares are scheduled to be increased equivalent to half the bus fare for similar distance. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
