No one waged war against Tamil community

Colombo, May 19 (Daily Mirror) - No one waged war against the Tamil community but only against the LTTE, SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa told Parliament today. 

He said the government of his father, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa only waged war against the LTTE. 

"The war was waged against the LTTE which killed former Minister Lakshman Kadirgramar, Mayor Alfred Duraiappah, those who killed monks at Arrantalawa and attacked Digampathaha. 

"It is sad to note the President failing to wish the security forces on the victory day," he added.
