Fuel will not be issued to people who come to filling stations without wearing face masks from tomorrow, Petroleum Dealers’ Association (PDA) co-secretary Kapila Naotunna said.
He said all filling stations have been informed of this, as the risk of COVID-19 is on the rise again in the country.
Therefore, requests were made to pay close attention, adhering to the health guidelines when visiting filling stations, he said.
People have totally abandoned adhering to health guidelines. People are strongly advised to maintain physical distance at the fuel queues," Naotunna said.
Relevant notices will be displayed at every filling station, describing not to dispense fuel to those who do not wear face masks, he added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
