No-confidence motion against President to be taken up on May 17

The no-confidence motion against President Gotabaya Rajapaksa would be taken up for debate on May 17, Speaker's Office said.

It would be taken up for debate after obtaining a special approval at the Parliament sittings on May 17.

The decision has been taken at the party leaders' meeting today.
