New Zealand changes to its passport requirement

Immigration New Zealand has temporarily removed the requirement for most applicants to provide a physical passport, the New Zealand High Commissioner in Colombo said.

“You must submit a high-quality scanned copy of your passport instead,’ High Commissioner Michael Appleton said.

He said that this change applies to Sri Lankans applying for temporary visas to enter New Zealand.
Applicants have been advised to visit the following official website for further details.

Your passport is not necessary to give you piece of paper written on it ''Visa Refusal''. We're part of proud family called ''Commonwealth'' not allowed to go to (so called) mother England or other (brotherly) AUS or NZ. After all, Aus. belongs to Aborigins and the NZ is to Mauris.

What is your point? If you love SL so much why do you want to go to Aus, NZ and UK? Stay in SL. Those countries need skilled people who are willing to make a contribution to those countries, not those bragging about a failed State.

Then the Sri Lanka belong to Weddah? Would you say upcountry Tamil who came here for work in tea plantation less Sri Lankan? The foreign idea that person whose ancestor came here 100,000 year deserves better than some one whose ancestor came here only 2500 year ago is mad. Really someone have ancestor come here 1000 year ago no better than those whose ancestor came here 150 year ago and so on.

Why is it that even genuine travel visa applicant Sri Lankans get Visa Refusal by almost all European and Commonwealth embassies in Colombo. Not only embassies of Commonwealth countries, like AU, NZ, UK, but mostly the European country embassies who enjoy Sri Lanka's hospitality and diplomatic status treat Sri Lankan so badly when it comes to genuine travel visas. Diplomacy is mutual , not one way. Specially Swiss

Requirement of a physical passport is taken away as NZ immigration has an alibi with no evidence of non refusal stamped to quote clauses which are subjective refer to the recent number of student visas declined
