Navy seizes over 50kg of Hashish in Mannar operation

Colombo, February 14 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Navy conducted a special operation in the southern sea area off Mannar today (14), resulting in the arrest of two suspects and the seizure of a dinghy carrying two suspicious sacks contained more than 50 kilograms of hashish.

The suspects and the consignment were brought to the Thalpadu jetty in Mannar, where officers of the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) carried out an expert examination.

The two suspects, along with the dinghy and the seized stock of hashish, have been handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau for further investigations and legal action.
