NPP accused of changing clock to win budget in Horana

Colombo, Dec. 24 (Daily Mirror) - The National People's Power (NPP) led Horana Urban Council has fraudulently won the budget proposal by changing the time on the clock, Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Ajith P. Perera alleged today.

He said in a Facebook  post that the Council meeting was scheduled to commence at 10 am yesterday and that the opposition members arrived at the council meeting on time. However, when they arrived at the council, the ruling NPP members had already approved the budget proposal unanimously at 9.55 am.

The MP alleged that despite the agenda for the day, the council meeting had finished within three minutes after the budget was fraudulently approved.
