Mother, son nabbed with heroin worth Rs. 550 mn

A woman and her son have been arrested with more than 38 kg of heroin worth over Rs. 550 million in Embilipitiya.

Police said the heroin haul were wrapped in 36 packs, recovered in a house.

The suspects, the mother aged 38 and her son, 22 were arrested by the police.

The raid was conducted on a tip off by STF personnel.
