More showers on the cards in coming days
Prevailing showery condition is expected to continue during the next few days, the Meteorological Department forecast.
In its latest weather report, the department said showers would continue in south-western part of the Island and occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Northwestern provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
Fairly heavy showers above 75mm can also be expected at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
In addition, it stated that showers or thundershowers would occur at several places in Eastern and Uva province and in Mullaitivu districts during the evening or night.
