Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said mobile fuel dispensers will be introduced initially as a pilot project to supply fuel for three wheelers and generators.

He said the fuel dispensers mounted on trucks will be used pump out fuel for three wheelers, delivery bikes, and for cans in large open spaces away from the fuel stations.

He also said the ministry is hoping to expand this system islandwide in the near future. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

This is not the need of the hour. Arrange for supply of fuel as done previously sans any disruption to all petrol sheds. We need not copy what others are doing without getting our act straight.

Now this is a far wiser decision than the mobile registration!! You need to cater to the need of those who don't have access to smartphones, like the farmers, one of the many sectors desparately in need of fuel.
