Minister, MP clash in Parliament over allegation

Colombo, Feb. 20 (Daily Mirror) - A verbal clash erupted between Minister of Power and Energy Kumara Jayakody and opposition MP Ajith P. Perera, after the latter came up with an allegation that the Minister was removed from the Fertilizer Corporation due to a fruad.

"Minister Jayakody was removed from the Fertilizer Corporation as he was found guilty of a fraud with regard to a tender. He filed a court case and lost it," MP Perera said.

Minister Jayakody, who responded, challenged the MP to prove the allegation.

"I was never removed from the Fertilizer Corporation, but I resigned. You have to prove your allegation," the Minister said.

Similar to allegations like Uganda money, bond scam, petrol kommis, sugar scam etc etc. All allegations! The newer ones being number plate , coal scams etc etc!
