Man who stole President’s flag and used as bed sheet, arrested

A 54-year old man who stole the President's flag on 09 July from the President's Residence had been arrested after he surrendered to the Dam Street Police.

A video is being shared showing the man using the President's flag as a bed sheet after it had been stolen from the President's Residence.

Investigations revealed that the arrested person is the former vice president of the Samagi Sevaka Sangamaya.

Police is to recover the President's flag following the statement from the suspect.

He will be produced before the Fort Magistrate's Court.(DSB)
