Land Reforms Commission gets new Chairman



Attorney-at-Law Panduka Keerthinanda has been appointed as the Chairman of the Land Reforms Commission with effect from October 09.

As a senior practitioner, he has acquired commendable experience in Criminal and Civil Law practice in Sri Lanka. He is the current legal advisor to Minister Harin Fernando.

Moreover, he has held numerous high government positions including Chairman of Sugathadasa National Sports Complex Authority, Member of the National Sports Council, Legal Consultant to the Sports Ministry 2010 to 15, Legal Consultant to the Ministry of Telecommunication, Foreign Employment and Sports. 

Also, Keerthinanda has actively contributed for implementing new Sports Laws such as Convention Against Doping in Sports Act 33 of 2013 and the Prevention of Offences Relating to Sports Act 25 of 2019. 

Keerthinanda holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Colombo.
