Lal Kantha blocks camera while dodging questions on paddy procurement

Colombo, June 30 (Daily Mirror) - Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, K.D. Lal Kantha, drew criticism after abruptly halting a media interaction and physically blocking a camera lens to avoid further questioning regarding the ongoing Yala season paddy procurement crisis.

The incident occurred as journalists attempted to follow up on statements regarding the government's purchasing strategy. 

Minister Lal Kantha dismissed the persistent inquiries, stating that he had already provided all necessary details and insisted there would be no further media briefings at the venue. 

As reporters continued to press for details, the Minister extended his hand to cover the camera lens before walking away with his officials.
