LG Polls likely to be postponed, Elections Commission goes to court citing difficulties

The Elections Commission will file a special motion before the Supreme Court citing difficulties such as inadequate funds to hold the Local Government Elections on March 9, the Chairman of the Elections Commission said.

Some of the other reasons given by the Elections Commission include the inability to print the required ballot papers by the government printers and the inadequate fuel supply for transport.

Government sources told Daily Mirror that the LG Polls is likely to be postponed and not go ahead as scheduled next month due to the lack of funds. (Jamila Husain)

This means that funds already spent will go to waste. This country cannot afford to waste money and it is precisely wasting money hoping rich countries like Japan, US etc will bail us out.

Better not lose more, for the sake of what's already wasted. The Government Printer will be in a lot of trouble once the number of LG seats is halved from 8000 to 4000, as seems they are politically driven to print on credit. They like all government told not to things on credit nor ask for anything on credit, yet they blatantly continue printing.

Government has suddenly decided to spend Billions to feed/help the poor. This is corruption/Bribery when an election is announced. Once the feeding project is gone over 50% Government will agree to release funds. We must not forget that RW is the nephew of the OLD FOX
