Sri Lankan batter Kusal Mendis has recovered from his brief illness and will be able to participate in the ongoing second Test match against Bangladesh underway at the Mirpur Stadium.
According to sources in Dhaka, the 27-year-batter had felt some chest pain and had to leave the field during the Bangladesh innings.
He was taken to the hospital for investigations and an ECG was done.
"He has been released from hospital and will be able to field and bat in the match on Tuesday," the source said.
“May be it was because of the excessive heat, he may have been dehydrated. There is nothing to worry and he is fine,” the source added. By Bipin Dani
