Johnston Fernando further remanded

Colombo, Feb. 20 (Daily Mirror) - Former Minister Johnston Fernando, his two sons, and another suspect, were today ordered to be further remanded until March 6 by the Wattala Magistrate’s Court.

The orders were issued when the suspects were produced before the Wattala Magistrate’s Court today (20).

Meanwhile, another suspect arrested in connection with the same incident was ordered to be remanded until February 27.

They arrested over the alleged misuse of a lorry belonging to the Lanka Sathosa.

Isnt this a waste of public money too for keeping someone in custody without endinga case soon with a fine. Issue seems to be with AG, Cid and police officers. One can argue latter officials wasting public money unnecessary without gathering evidence first.
