Colombo, March 19 (Daily Mirror)- Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mizukoshi Hideaki met NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the JVP head office this morning.
Deputy Head of the Japanese Embassy Katsuki Kotaro and the Second Secretary Imai Kaori also attended the meeting.
NPP MP Vijitha Herath also participated in the discussion.
Both sides discussed the current economic crisis and the political situation in Sri Lanka at length, and attention was also paid to the upcoming Presidential election.
The NPP explained its position regarding the intervention of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to the Japanese diplomatic representatives, and the Japanese delegation emphasized Japan's readiness to continue investing in Sri Lanka.

This and other similar approaches to the NPP are a clear sign which way the wind is blowing and justifies the outcome of many opinion polls recently. No country wants to be left out when the results are announced.

The duty of diplomats is to meet political leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, sportsmen, clergy etc., and to report back to their country about their ideas and thinking patterns. This guy seems to think he has already became the President, when an ambassador calls on him. Very immature man.

Gamini and SenPerera, What have the past leaders done. We could have easily been Singapore or South Korea. Do you want a repeat of the past ? Do you want 0.5 % of the people enjoy 90 % of the wealth. I have to still decide whether I should vote for one of the old political parties or this new party. I am still in decision stage.

For all the people getting their hopes up just because various foreign ambassadors want to meet with this guy don't get too excited. Just because you meet up with a prospective "candidate" doesn't mean that they are willing to do business with him. It's part of their due diligence. On the contrary, I would be extremely nervous about it. Once they unwrap the shiny wrapping paper all they are going to find is a rotting carcass of bitterness, revenge, terror and greed. The re-branded JVP are nothing but a pack of wolves in sheep's clothing.

I would seriously urge anyone thinking of voting for the NPP to speak with elderly relatives in your family. They will be able to tell you what to expect ?! These people are not only thugs but wolves in sheep clothing !!! :-)
