Issuing of liquor licences has not been stopped, assured State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siambalapitiya.

Addressing the media after a meeting in Dehiowita, he said the ministry is working on a number of issues, such as preventing the irregular issuing of licences.

While referring to the liquor licenses that have already been issued, the State Minister said that a report will be handed over to the President next week for licences to be issued under a more scientific method. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
