Intern doctors to save defunct hospitals: Minister

Parliament, Nov. 30 (Daily Mirror)-Steps will be taken to reopen the 40 hospitals that were shut down due to medical shortages by assigning intern doctors, Health Minister Ramesh Pathirana said today.

The Minister told Parliament that special attention will be drawn to the matter when making internship appointments.

He said this in response to a question raised by former President Maithripala Sirisena regarding the particular hospitals.
