India, Sri Lanka have made significant progress in physical, energy connectivity: Indian High Commissioner



Colombo, Jan 26 (Daily Mirror)- While highlighting that India and Sri Lanka had become a global model for cooperation with neighbours, Indian High Commissioner in Colombo Santhosh Jha said today that both countries have made significant progress in physical and energy connectivity. 

He made this remark at a reception held to mark India's Republic Day at India House. 

Minister Nalinda Jayatissa, who was the chief guest, stressed for mutual cooperation between the two nations. 

"India was the first to assist Sri Lanka when the island was hit by cyclone Ditwah last year," he said.
