IRC listed gangster ’’Athurugiriye Jerome’’ arrested

"Athurugiriye Jerome", a gangster who is also an Island Registered Criminal (IRC) and an accomplice of underworld figure Angoda Lokka, has been arrested by the STF over a shooting incident reported in Homagama a few days ago.

Police said the suspect wanted over drugs trafficking and other crimes was arrested at Millennium City in Athurugiriya.

Police said a warant had also been issued on the suspect over a case in Athurugiriya.

The suspect was handed over to the Athurugiriya Police for further investigations.(DSB)
