Colombo, March 18 (Daily Mirror) - The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said that fuel will be issued based on the last digit of vehicle number plates starting from March 19, alongside the QR code system.

CPC Managing Director Mayura Netthikumara said that vehicles with number plates ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 will be eligible to obtain fuel on even-numbered days, while those ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 will be served on odd-numbered days.

The government recently reactivated the QR code-based fuel distribution system from March 16 in response to increasing pressure on fuel supplies.

Nothing original, just copy and paste. The same story was in place previously as well. Now Electricity price to be raised by 13% , but during election begging for votes promised to cut prices by 30%. No punishment for the poor standard of coal purchased, the error to be covered by the public. So called PEOPLES GOVERMENT.

What is this government hiding? Fuel prices have been increased all around the world but no country has been limiting fuel supply like this.
