Highest temperature of 33.9°C recorded in Mattala

Colombo, Feb. 23 (Daily Mirror) - A maximum temperature of 33.9 degrees Celsius was recorded at the Mattala Meteorological Station today (23), the Metrology Department said.

The Department officials said that the temperature was the highest recorded for the day, reflecting the prevailing warm weather conditions in the area.

Authorities have advised the public to take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related discomfort, particularly during the afternoon hours when temperatures tend to peak.
