Health professionals announce a two-day strike

Public Health Inspectors Union President Upul Rohana said several health unions have decided to launch a two-day strike due to the unavailability of fuel.

Right now the fuel allowance for health professionals is Rs. 1200 and we have discussed the issues with this rate. But so far we haven’t received any solutions.

Therefore PHIs along with midwives, ECG and EEG technicians and several others will not report to work today and tomorrow.
