Hanumankind to Perform in Colombo Before India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 Clash

By Moiz Mustafa

Colombo, Feb 15 (Daily Mirror) - Hanumankind will perform in Colombo tonight, just moments before one of the biggest matches in world cricket begins.

With the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2026 clash set to start in less than an hour at the R Premadasa Stadium, fans inside the ground will first be treated to a live performance from the Indian-origin rapper who has taken the music scene by storm. The energy in the city is already at its peak, and the pre-match show is expected to lift it even higher.

Few sporting contests carry the weight and emotion of India vs Pakistan, and tonight, Colombo finds itself at the heart of it all.

What Time Will Hanumankind Perform in Colombo

The performance is scheduled to begin at around 6:00 pm local time and IST, approximately one hour before the match starts.

The toss will take place at 6:30 pm, while the first ball is set to be bowled at 7:00 pm.

Hanumankind, best known for his breakout track Dhurandhar and his commanding stage presence, is expected to bring a charged atmosphere to an already packed stadium. With fans steadily filling the stands, the performance will serve as the final build-up before the cricketing drama unfolds.

Colombo Soaks in the India vs Pakistan Fever

Over the past two days, Colombo has transformed completely. Streets, hotels, cafes and roads have been flooded with supporters dressed in blue and green. From the stretch at Galle Face to the busy lanes of Pettah, the city feels alive in a way rarely seen outside major global events.

Hotels across the capital have reported near full occupancy, with room prices climbing sharply due to the surge in demand. Flights from Indian cities were snapped up quickly, and airfare prices rose as fans rushed to secure last-minute travel. Even local transport services and street vendors have felt the impact, with drivers reporting constant bookings and merchandise sellers seeing brisk sales.

For Sri Lanka, hosting this marquee fixture has delivered not just sporting attention but a significant boost to tourism and hospitality.

A Big Night On and Off the Field

After some uncertainty earlier in the week, Pakistan received official clearance to participate, ensuring that the blockbuster encounter would go ahead as scheduled. That confirmation only intensified the anticipation surrounding the fixture.

While recent head-to-head trends may lean in India’s favour, history often carries little weight in matches of this magnitude. India vs Pakistan games have a way of producing moments that defy expectations.

Off the field, the atmosphere in Colombo has remained festive and welcoming. Supporters from both countries have been seen taking photos together, sharing meals and enjoying the occasion despite the fierce rivalry on the pitch.

As the clock ticks closer to 7:00 pm, the spotlight first turns to the stage. Hanumankind will step out to perform in Colombo, setting the tone for a night that promises passion, pressure and unforgettable moments. Soon after, the captains will walk out for the toss, and another chapter in cricket’s greatest rivalry will begin.
