Govt considers social media ban for children under-16: PM

Colombo, July 8 (Daily Mirror) - The government is considering banning or limiting social media access to children under 16, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya told Parliament today. 

She said the National Childcare and Protection Society is currently carrying out a dialogue on the proposal.

The Prime Minister added that the government and the World Vision are focusing on a programme to this effect.
