It has to be two states in one United Sri Lanka. Learn from the UK - FOUR STATES IN ONE UNITED UK, USA HAS 50 states in one United States of America, our neighbour India has 29 states in one republic of India and several more countries in Europe have many states in one country. Be progressive. Otherwise it will end up all talks and photographs with no forward thinking and movements.

Other countries may have states but very few had bulk transfer of people from a different country to the middle of another community . Those who opposed repatriation of upcountry tamils made life miserable for everyone. At least they would have lived happily in India.

@-Sandy- there were bulk transfer of West Indians to the UK to run the London under ground services and bus services, there were bulk transfer of Indians and Pakistanis to run the cotton mills in the middle of UK. Today Sri Lanka is surviving due to the bulk transfer of South Indians who happens to speak Tamil language to run the coffee, tea estates, the backbone of economy to Sri Lanka. Britain did not de franchise anyone they brought in over to UK. It was a criminal attitude for the DS Senanayake and later Sirimavo to harass the estate workers.

Unelected master debating president now wants concentrate on ethnic issues. He master debated over 50 years and counting till country went bankrupt. He loved tobe master debated in mile high club on his double bed. He loves taking pictures of himself while master debating in front of foreign leaders to become immortal.

There has to be another country that has to remain in policy and developmental backwardness that is us, in the region to keep company with another failure Pakistan where they also preach and practice the supremacy of religion. India is advancing and Bangladesh is making progress. We are in a stalemate or regressing
