A gazette notification has been issued today (20) announcing Acting President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Eighth Executive President of the country.

The gazette was issued by Parliament General Secretary Dhammika Dasanayake in terms of Section 17 of the Presidential Elections (Special Provisions) Act, No. 2 of 1981.
