This is really good news to hear !!! International cricket matches played at Galle brings the biggest tourism promotion for Sri Lanka with its picturesque settings with the background Galle Fort. Hence, it would have been really unwise if international cricket matches were not played in Galle.

Ground need to renovate. Rainy days all water comes to ground. Ground is lower than city.

Im sorry to say this but right now people do not need any new stadium theres is the Mahinda Rajapakse Staduim in Hambantotha lets utilze that first and then solve the current problems associated with the economy if funds remain lets make another stadium, cool guys?

What Galle needs right now is not another international stadium, basic amenities in most aspects are not upto mark get them corrected first. Also prior to a stadium put your efforts in setting a mechanism on how to get the residents of Galle to benefit from the economic boom of the Galle city / Galle Fort area. Everyone seems to be benefiting from the boom other than for the poor old citizens of Galle.

Sagala had no idea of common peoples need,what he done to improve Southern Disctrict as minister ?why spent millions when we have a stadium already ?Please appoint someone more responsible who can do a work as the Southern province development minister
