Four suspects arrested over the incident of setting fire to President Ranil Wickremesinghe's private residence in Colombo were ordered to be further remanded till August 10 by Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court.

These four suspects were today produced before an identification parade and they were ordered to be further remanded after being produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage.

Meanwhile, the CID has named another person who was allegedly involved in the incident as the fifth suspect in the case. The CID had informed the court that an individual named Evan Perera wanted for questioning over the incident has already been fled the country and the airport authorities have been informed in this regard. Is this Theravada Buddhism? Some poor guys were caught lighting a fire at Ranil Rajapakse's house, where was law and order on that fateful day of July 1983 when Tamils were killed, raped and their houses set on fire? Sadly it is followed to date although in a subdued manner by the forces in Tamil homeland and no one can question this behaviour.
