Four buses seized for running on kerosene fuel

Colombo, July 8 (Daily Mirror) - Four passenger transport buses have been taken into custody by the Ambalangoda Police for allegedly operating using kerosene as fuel instead of diesel.

The buses were seized during an operation carried out yesterday (7) evening by officers attached to the Traffic Division of the Ambalangoda Police.

Police said the seized buses were operating on the Galle–Colombo and Ambalangoda–Elpitiya routes.

Investigations revealed that some of the buses had been operating entirely on kerosene, while others had been running on a mixture of kerosene and diesel.

Police have launched further investigations into the matter.
